Paediatrics & Neonatology

The department of Paediatrics & Neonatology at Gouri Devi Hospital & Research Institute recognizes the value of every child and family.  We are guided by our commitment to excellence and high standards of care, providing health care to all from neonatal period to adolescence.

A 24 hour paediatric and neonatal emergency service is available, lead by a dedicated team on site at all times in the hospital.

The Department boasts of a level 3 busy NICU which provides quality clinical services to the very sick neonatal as well as premature babies which needs CPAP, mechanical ventilation and surfactant therapy in addition to 24X7 neonatal resuscitation and emergency care for all neonates.

Our paediatricians offer an comprehensive level of inpatient hospital services in case your child ever needs to be admitted.  The attending paediatrician on hospital service is available for care during the entire time the child is in the hospital. Children who are sick and require regular monitoring and care are admitted. Upon discharge, you will leave with a discharge summary and enough education and follow up guidance from our trained staff that you will feel secure to take care of the child at home

The Well Baby Clinic provides Growth monitoring, Health promotion, Patients and family education, vaccinations, immunization, asthma and respiratory problem management, treatment of routine paediatric  illness and infections of children and counseling for young mothers.
